Instruction + Community + Accountability + Inspiration

Success doesn't come from what we do comes from what we do consistently.

What is the atelier method? (ah-tell-yay)

Traditionally, in this method, students start by painting simple subjects and progress into painting more complex works. At each stage of the process the student needs to demonstrate a degree of competence before advancing to the next stage. Students must redo an exercise if the concepts put forth need more attention.

However, we won’t be quite so strict here, but will work to progress in that spirit.

The program will involve completing master copies as well as applying the techniques discussed to your own personal compositions. Other exercises are designed to instill regular art habits and encourage your personal art growth.

What's In This Program?

6 months of everything above, focused lessons, individual attention and mentoring for only $2100.
That's just $350 a month

*please note*
once enrolled tuition no refunds will be issued

A look at what you'll see in the WAP members site

In addition to the home page with all of the relevant links, schedule and contacts, each month you’ll find the video replays, demos references, etc.

What can I expect from this program?

Each month, Dan will begin with a demo/lecture geared to the topic of the month. Students are required to complete a demo mastercopy and versions from their own reference incorporating the discussed skills/techniques for the following week’s critique.

What is the schedule?

Sessions will be on Monday evenings, the first, third and last week of the month and will
be 2-3 hours depending on the topic.

There is a possibility of shifts in the scheduling due to Dan’s travel schedule.

How is this different from your other online teaching programs?
This is the granddaddy, top tier of the online learning experience!
I’m replacing my six week individual course with the six month group program. If you’ve
studied with me before this will be a completely different learning experience by having a
group dynamic and the opportunity to develop friendships and community with other artists
on the same journey

What if I don’t join the Spring Session class?
A call for enrollment will be sent out via my newsletter next Autumn
