The Watercolor Atelier Program

This program is designed to encourage a consistent practice and develop strong habits to progress in watercolor. Join a small number of your peers on this journey that fosters communtiy interaction and artistic growth.
A limited enrollment, 6 month program for all levels.
For experienced beginners, intermediate and advanced students.

Instruction + Community + Accountability + Inspiration
= ARTISTIC GROWTH

Bringing the atelier experience to a virtual learning environment

What is the atelier method? (ah-tell-yay)

Traditionally, in this method, students start by painting simple subjects and progress into painting more complex works. At each stage of the process the student needs to demonstrate a degree of competence before advancing to the next stage. Students must redo an exercise if the concepts put forth need more attention.

However, we won’t be quite so strict here, but will work to progress in that spirit.

The program will involve completing master copies as well as applying the techniques discussed to your own personal compositions. Other exercises are designed to instill regular art habits and encourage your personal art growth.

Success doesn't come from what we do occasionally..it comes from what we do consistently.

FAQ's

What can I expect from this program?
Sessions will generally be on a Tuesday evening, the first, third and last of the month and will
vary between 2-3 hours.

How is this different from your other online teaching programs?
This is the granddaddy, top tier of the online learning experience!
I’m replacing my six week individual course with the six month group program. If you’ve
studied with me before this will be a completely different learning experience by having a
group dynamic and the opportunity to develop friendships and community with other artists
on the same journey

What if I don’t join this inaugural class?
New group sessions may be added when there are 6 enrollment requests. It’s possible there
will be groups running simultaneously. Otherwise the next session won’t begin until the next
fiscal quarter. The current price is only guaranteed for the inaugural class.
